St Denys Church offers a number of rooms for hire for use by groups and individuals.
We also rent rooms as office space to organisations and businesses.

There is a 24 hour answering service and there is always a friendly welcome to visitors.

The ground floor offers full accessibilty and is equiped with mens, womens and
disabled toilets with baby changing facities.
The ground floor also features a large, fully equiped kitchen.
Some car parking is available on site, extra parking during evenings and weekends may be
available by special arrangement.
Rooms Available
The Hall
The Hall has a wooden floor and is large enough to seat around 150 people. It has direct access to
the Kitchen. This room can be used for a wide variety of events, for example children’s parties
and groups, barn dances, dance groups, karate, badminton, meetings, bazaars and fetes, meals etc.
There is a pull down screen, which can be used in conjunction with a projector. Chairs and tables are
available for use in this room and additional tables and chairs can be brought
in should they be required.
The Kitchen
The Kitchen is situated downstairs between the Hall and the Meeting Room. It is fully equipped
with a two large catering ovens, a warming oven and 6 hobs (all electric). There are sufficient
teapots, urns and kettles as well as a dishwasher, two large sinks and a microwave.
Use of the fridge and freezer can be available with prior arrangement.
There is sufficient china and cutlery for around 100 place settings.
There are a number of catering sized saucepans, oven trays etc.
Use of the ovens (and for larger events also cutlery and china) must be requested in advance.
Garden Room
The Garden Room is suitable for smaller meetings and seminars, one to one meetings, etc.
Whilst it has no direct link with the kitchen, a kettle and cups can easily be provided.
The Meeting Room
The Meeting Room is “L” shaped and can seat 30-40 people. Chairs, tables and a piano are kept in this
room. There is also a screen, which can be pulled down for use with a projector. There is direct access
via a large serving hatch/counter with the kitchen. The room can be used for seminars and meetings,
children’s events, adult education groups etc.
The Lounge
The Lounge is situated near the main entrance and provides meeting space for small to medium sized groups.
The Upper Meeting Room
The Upper Meeting Room (upstairs) has very good natural light and can seat around 20 people.
It can be used for small meetings and seminars, adult education, etc. Although there is no direct
link with the kitchen, a kettle and cups can be provided.
Main Church
Our large and historic Church Hall is also available for concerts or events.
It is one of the largest enclosed spaces in the Southampton area and has a large amount of seating in
the form of the original church pews. Extra seating can be added if required.
The church is also equipped with a public address system.
Please note that the church currently has limited heating and therefore may be unsuitable for use during
the winter months.
